How do I get ahold of the board?

    • For general question please post on FB page, many of the veteran parents are able to answer along with board members.
    • FB DM are also acceptable

When are tryouts?

    • We are currently waiting for approval from the school for the exact dates and location.
    • Players must be signed up before trying out-no expectations
      • Once signed up you will get an email confirmation.
      • Once signed up you will not see a team in the app until after tryouts.
    • The player must be at both dates no expectations.

What is the tryout process?

    • Evaluations are performed by coaches, assistant coaches and board members
    • We try to have 2 teams per grade/per gender (3rd-8th)
    • There are three levels, gold/silver/bronze, we strive to make sure players are put into correct level.
    • Parents are not allowed in the tryouts.
    • The very last night of tryouts, the players will get an envelope to notify if they have made the team. The coach will not be listed, the coach will reach out once the final registration has been completed.
    • Do not bring a basketball.
    • Bring a water bottle, sometimes the fountains are not turned on and we do not provide water.
    • Jr Rams Basketball must be a priority over AAU

Once my player make the team when are practices and/or games?

    • Practices will be twice a week.
    • Practices days and times are based on gym availability and coach schedules
    • Games on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), games are posted the week of Thanksgiving typically.
    • The lower grades we expect more equal playtime (with exception when a player miss practices). Higher grades will be based on effort and skill during practice
    • Don’t drop off siblings with player at practices, it is not the coach’s responsibility to watch siblings.
    • Don’t drop your player off at practice until you know the building is open.
    • Be on time to pick up your child.

What is game conduct?

    • Parents and players will be signing a code of conduct. The board has zero tolerance for inappropriate behaviour by parents, players and/or guests.
    • Parent are not allowed on approach the ref after the game
    • If there is an issue with a coach please allow 24 hour wait period before talking to coach about any issues.

What about uniforms?

  • The players from last year will use their jersey that was received, unless the jersey does not fit.
  • An order form for shorts will be given and collected by the coaches (shorts run $10-15)
